Case Description
I have a lot of teeth broken into the gum. I get a lot of infections with them. I am being held back with work because of my looks. I would like all my teeth taken out and dentures put in but have very little money. My husband has left me and I have children. I cant afford much but want more than anything to be able to talk and smile without people looking at me strange. I feel so ugly.

Are You This Patient?
When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Hi. I''''''''''''''''m so sorry to hear about the condition of your mouth. I do know the importance of having a nice smile and I completely understand your dilemma. I''''''''''''''''m not familiar with the resources around Lake Charles, but in St. Tammany Parish, there is a dental clinic affiliated with the All Saints Ministries that provides dental care at greatly reduced fees for patients who have need, are working to support themselves and have limited financial resources. You might check with dentists in your area to see if there''''''''''''''''s a similar program close by.Another suggestion would be to contact the American Academy of General Dentistry (try aacd.com). This is an organization we belong to, along with dozens of other La. cosmetic dentists, which has a charitable foundation called "Give Back a Smile". You may qualify for a smile makeover through this organization. We would be happy to work with you through "Give Back a Smile" if the foundation approves your application. Please let me know how that goes.Julie MoreauPractice AdministratorMoreSMILES Dental Spa
